Case Studies - Magento

On top of a complex front end integration, with numerous jscript elements and an unconventional theme, we had to build for this project a module that would speak to the existing ERP. Each Magento transation would have to be converted in the ERP codifications and in return the ERP would send the right shipping information to Magento.

The challenge was to make the two interfaces talk to each other, and provide multiple scenarios for shipping since the client ships by batch (i.e. for an order of 12 items, 6 items could be shipped express and 6 others are back-order so it would wait another 2 weeks)

For this high-end retail client based in Canada, the web agency wanted to created a superior customer experience. We decided on a few functionalities and added several front-end modules, namely "quick look" (user clicks on product and a box appears with all relevant information, allowing the user to skip the product page and go directly to checkout), "view cart" (function where user mouse-over his shopping cart to view the full content of his cart) and several others.

Those add-ons really transforms the user experience.

Magento allows designers and developers to completly customize templates. We work with experienced art directors with very good expertise to create clean and user-friendly interfaces. Combined with our years of experience as strategist and developers, it gives us the ability to create compelling experience. We should never under-estimate the importance of the interface, especially for an e-commerce site.
